We have been engaged with this organization for 5 months, and they truly care about their residents. The communication has been consistently stellar, and I am now completely confident that we will always get a phone call if anything concerns arise. Jewish Home Of Rochester provides independent living services and amenities to its residents. All apartments feature one- or two-bedroom floor plans with fully equipped kitchens, washer/dryer, carpeting, window treatments, heating/air conditioning, emergency call system and storage areas. Some units include patios or balconies for added convenience.
I think they have since hired some new people, but sometimes they need more people to care for everybody. If I were to make a suggestion, it's to add more people, aides, or nurses. Independent living, assisted living and long-term care are all on one campus. Plus we offer support services to you in the comfort of your own home, on or off our campus.

Jewish Home of Rochester fits my husband's level of care, so it is good. In terms of value for the money, it is very expensive. The people that are there are very attentive to the families and the residents. Our assisted living senior care community, Wolk Manor, provides extra support for those who need help with their daily routines. Based on past reputation, we thought this would be a good choice for my mom after a fall; however, we were greatly mistaken.

This community features a large number of amenities and services for residents. Health services include help with medication and physical therapy. She first went there as a rehab patient and ended up staying there. The facility is large and has some wonderful caregivers. They try very hard and do a pretty good job considering the amount of people there and the amount of care that's needed. It took a long time to get the labels from the laundry.
We''ve had an incredible experience with the Jewish Home. With that said I will say this was the worst experience for me and my husband. Perhaps some of the money should go towards a bed that works. Then my advice would be to hire staff so I don’t have to go up everyday to change him. Please, if you are considering donating to the Jewish Home, find out where your money is going. Jewish Senior Life is guided by the values of honoring family and emphasizing senior care and aging in place.
The physical therapists were conscientious and did a good job. However, far too much of her stay in the rehabilitation center was spent lying in bed. Their strong recommendation was that she be transferred to a nursing home. It was only after we insisted on taking her home, subject to providing 24 hour in-home care for her, that we obtained the list of her medications and discovered the multiple diuretics.
We encourage you to leave one of your own if you are familiar with their services. We also recommend giving them a call to address any additional senior and nursing care questions you may have after reviewing their Nursing Home Site profile. There was a mistake in to what services I needed, so result was disappointing. My daughter panicked when I fell down and injured my arms/skin. So I was admitted to the intense care level floor.
